Delete your account

How to leave Wrote and request help with your data.

Published by WroteEffective 2026-10-08contact@wrote.sh

Start deletion in the app

Open Wrote, then Settings > Privacy and Security > Delete Account. Read the confirmation and complete the ownership/security checks. This starts permanent account deletion rather than simply logging you out. If you cannot access your account, contact Account & login or Privacy & data using the email associated with it; support may need to verify ownership.

What deletion affects

Account deletion removes your account/profile through the deletion process. Removing database records and cleaning up uploaded files or backups can happen separately. If you need help removing a remaining uploaded file, contact Privacy & data with the relevant Wrote link. Necessary transaction, security, dispute, and legally required records may remain for the applicable purpose. Copies another person independently saved remain under that person’s control.

Cancel subscriptions separately

If you have an Apple subscription, manage it in your Apple Account before or after deleting Wrote. Deleting the app or Wrote account does not cancel App Store renewal. Consider any remaining digital balance before confirming deletion.

Other data requests

You may request access, correction, a copy of your data, or another applicable privacy right without deleting your account. Select Privacy & data on the contact form and tell us what you need. Never include your password or login code.
